It’s hard to believe 2023 is coming to an end and 2024 is just around the corner. Once a year I like to sit back and review the year. Some of my accomplishments are listed below.
- Took a wonderful class on coaching writers
- Added coaching writers to my list of services
- Began offering my services on Reedsy
- Coached four writers of children’s books
- Added my name to the Mentoring Program for the Northwest Editors Guild
- Mentored two mentees (editors) new to editing
- Edited several wonderful manuscripts
- Began learning about AI (ChatGPT and Bard)
- In talks about becoming a consultant for craft books
- Added my name to the list of freelance editors for DK Publishing, Quarto, and Sourcebooks
- Edited a revised cookbook for DK Publishing
- Submitted a proposal to Women in Publishing for their 2024 Writers Summit
- Consulted with an author on their cookbook.
If this little exercise taught me anything, it’s wonderful to review your accomplishments. Remember: These are my accomplishments, not yours. Results vary. Never compare your accomplishments to the accomplishments of others.
